Laboratory Scale

Accurate measurements are vital to the operation of a laboratory. It is for this reason that the average laboratory scale is much more precise than those that are used for other applications. This accuracy is essential to maintain research integrity.

A laboratory scale can be found in a variety of sizes and capabilities. When extremely precise measurements are required, smaller scales designed to measure weights as low as a hundredth of a gram are most often used. These scales ensure experiments can be performed as accurately as possible.

A larger laboratory scale can be used when such tight accuracy is not required. These scales are often used to weigh anything from patients in medical studies to plants used in biological research. They are often made in sizes suitable for field work as well.
