Laboratory Glass

In a laboratory, glass containers are used for numerous activities. From the smallest test tubes to the largest beakers, these items are essential for the vast majority of laboratory tasks. They are often made from specialized glass designed to withstand the various chemicals common to scientific research.

Beakers are among the most common of laboratory glass equipment. Beakers are used primarily for the mixing of chemical compounds. They are also commonly used for boiling liquids over a gas burner.

Laboratory glass cylinders are often used for accurately measuring liquids. They can also be used for determining the specific density of a given object. Commonly called “graduated cylinders”, these items are essential tools of laboratory work.
